HIV/AIDS Healing Retreat June 6-8 needs support

Province IV of the Episcopal Church is sponsoring the 17th Annual HIV/AIDS Healing Retreat at Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, N.C., June 6 - 8. And donations are being sought to help low-income individuals who are HIV-positive to attend with their family members and caregivers.

EfM Mentor Training scheduled in July in Atlanta

The next opportunity in the Diocese of Atlanta for those interested in discerning their call to the ministry of Education for Ministry mentor -- and for existing EfM mentors to renew their accreditation -- will be July 31-Aug. 2 at Lanier House on the grounds of the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta.

Rest in Peace: The Rev. William R. Payton

The Rev. William R. Payton, who served several Diocese of Atlanta parishes during his 42 years as a priest, died April 16 from cancer. He was 67. Since 2003 he had been a priest associate at the Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road, Atlanta 30305, where services will be this weekend.

Bishop to join Kids 4 Peace group to Holy Land

Atlanta Bishop J. Neil Alexander will join a delegation of leaders from Kids4Peace USA to the Holy Land April 24-May 2 for a special board meeting of the organization at St. George's College in Jerusalem.

Altar Flowers
