A workshop for clergy and lay leaders with responsibility for planning and leading the stewardship effort in their parishes will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Cathedral of St. Philip, room 316. The Diocese of Atlanta Stewardship Commission is presenting the event. Parishes are encouraged to send teams.

Workshop topics will be scripture-based and practical and are designed to help leaders evaluate the effectiveness of their present stewardship efforts. They include: “Biblical Foundations of Stewardship,” “Reasons for Giving,” “Commitment Programs,” “Year-Round Stewardship,” “Generational Giving” and a consultants' panel.

Available programs and methods for organizing and targeting stewardship efforts throughout the year will be discussed.  Stewardship Commission resources will be highlighted.
