The theme for the second Conclave for Spiritual Directors, sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta’s Commission on Spiritual Growth, is “Spiritual Direction and Psychotherapy: Boundaries and Compatibility.”

7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, June 25 – Panel discussion on Psychotherapy and Spiritual Direction

                               and 8:30-4 p.m. Saturday, June 26 – Dr. Daniel Helminiak, author of “Meditation Without Myth”

Cost is $20 for both Friday and Saturday, or $10 for Saturday only. Register online 
 
According to Brother Kenneth Hosley, OPC, the event’s coordinator: “The conclave will focus on the boundaries and overlap between psychotherapy and spiritual direction.  It is more important than ever for spiritual directors to understand the appropriate boundaries between counseling / psychotherapy and spiritual direction.  Furthermore, understanding the overlap between counseling and spiritual direction and how they complement one another can be a tremendous asset to any spiritual director.”
