+ ORGANIST/CHOIRMASTER (part-time) for Christ Church Episcopal, Macon, Ga.

Christ Church seeks a part-time organist/choirmaster to further develop its already strong music program.  The organist/choirmaster serves at the pleasure of the rector and is the central figure ensuring the quality, substance and appropriateness of the music that serves an integral part in the rector’s and the parish’s vision of ministry, to include maintaining our strong Anglican & classical musical tradition while recognizing the opportunity to introduce less traditional musical offerings in certain services or settings.  The candidate for this position should demonstrate an ability to have a good working relationship with the rector and choir, have proven experience in choral directing and organ performance, and preferably experience in the Anglican tradition.  The Christ Church organ is C. + DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRIES, St. Edward’s Episcopal Church, Lawrenceville, Ga.
 

St. Edward’s is a diverse, medium-sized parish located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, about 30 miles east of Atlanta.  We average 200 people attending on Sunday mornings. We seek a dynamic and innovative Director of Children & Youth Ministries to spearhead the development and implementation of an education program for children and young people, with assistance from the Education Committee.  He or she will create the youth program from the ground up and be responsible for planning and conducting regular and special activities that will allow the youth to participate in and contribute to the life and work of the parish. The ideal candidate is a well-organized, energetic and approachable person who can form positive relationships with the youth and effectively work with our young people, parents, volunteers and clergy. + CHILDREN’S CHOIR DIRECTOR for Christ Church Episcopal, Norcross, Ga.

This is a new part-time position to develop a children’s music ministry program between ages 8-12 starting in January. We seek an enthusiastic candidate with vision for developing a youth ministry.  Position is active for approximately the duration of a school year with service participation at intervals throughout with emphasis on Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost.  Christ Church has a friendly and supportive staff and congregation with enthusiasm for ministry.
