The Geese Project

The Geese Project in Ecuador has grabbed the attention of the Diocese of Atlanta Global Mission Committee.  Father Raul Herrera's mission, La Hondonada, is located outside the city of Ambato in the Tungurahua region of Ecuador. The people of La Hondonada have started raising geese so they can support themselves and escape poverty.

The Diocese of Atlanta Ministry Fair each year sends 0.07% of its budget to an MDG fund, and in 2010, we have chosen to support the Geese Project.  Our donation of $100 will purchase five geese and their food for three months.  The project is being funded through St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Snellville.
