Transitions

The Transitions Office of the Diocese of Atlanta assists congregations in the transition of ordained leadership. It also assists clergy who are discerning the call to suitable ministry positions. We bring skills and experience to these transitions for both congregations and clergy and their families. The deployment staff coordinates parishes and clergy with opportunities and searches throughout the larger church. Work begins when an opening is announced and is completed when the new ministry has been sealed by Letter of Agreement and celebrated by congregation, clergy and bishop.

Written materials, policies and step-by-step processes are provided and supervised by the Transitions Office, which together with a group of consultants, sees to healthy transitions of leadership throughout the diocese's more than 100 congregations, chaplaincies and related institutions.
