Speaker from Haiti to report Oct. 2 on earthquake recovery
The Rev. Kesner Ajax of the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti will be the keynote speaker Oct. 2 for the 2010 Diocese of Atlanta Global Mission Conference at St. Francis’ Episcopal Church, Macon.
Ajax, executive director of the Bishop Tharp Institute and Episcopal Diocese of Haiti partnership program coordinator, will discuss Haiti's recently developed earthquake recovery plan and with set priorities.
The event includes several workshops on successful fund-raising for global mission, electronic communication, and refugee resettlement and immigration services.
“Sharing Our Stories” is the theme for the conference, which runs Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
